Aluminum oxide fine grit paper

I've had good luck using aluminum oxide fine and superfine grits just prior to final polishing. I usually spray lightly with water.

I'm thinking of adding some polishing paste but I haven't tried it yet. Any thoughts?

Might clog the paper, and if it was either larger or smaller grit than the paper, you would not really gain much IMO, as you would get a coarser scratch pattern from one or the other. I go from 2000 wet/dry to varying compounds on strops, and get nicely polished edges.
