Aluminum Platen wheels

Anyone ever glue cork on the aluminum platen wheels?? or adhere something to help grinding with those wheels??

I just replaced mine with rubber contact wheels.

If you're anything like me, you'll come up with uses for the wheels you took off after you replace them with rubber ones. Or, maybe consider making your own setups. Nice to have a slack belt setup aside from your platen setup. Isn't that the whole point of quick change tool arms?
