When did wenger and victorinox first begin using aluminum scales. I am a big fan of the farmer and was just wondering.
 
I believe the date Victorinox made first alox-scaled SAKs was 1958, and once they became standard military issue in 1961, Wenger produced their first alox SI.
 
Thank you. I was wondering because I just only recently became aware of their were available with the aluminum handle scales. So fare I have a farmer, a soldier and a SI. I think they are great.
