I was just wondering if anyone had the clear coat aluminum Wilkins grips for the griptilian. I have some in the mail and wanted to know how people liked them, I got these instead of the titanium due to weight.

I have a black anodized set.

Not sure about the clear coat. I didn't know that was an option.

How about these Wilkins Grips... Steampunk scales made of freakin' BRONZE... I love bronze. It turns the Griptilian into a Beast -- heavier than a ZT 0301 (8.0 oz) at 8.8 oz... but just friggin' awesome. A member on BF is selling the knife in the photo... I don't even like Griptilians (I don't dislike them, just never used one), but I like this knife. A lot. Very tempting. Not very practical, but who cares?

I think that black and red color combo with the Ritter blade is one of the sharpest looking knives that I've ever seen. No pun intended. :)

Thanks. I really like it too.

Not the thread hi-jack but here's another shot with my 300SN (before I RIT dyed it)

Got my grips today and installed them, still have a stonewashed titanium pocket clip in the mail.

Sweet grips, congrats! I got my TI fire anodized grips for wilkins last week and can't be more happy. They are definitely heavy.

Enjoy!

Has Benchmade ever offer the Griptilian (from the factory) with a handle material other than the cheap plastic ?

I saw those, they are so sick. The aluminum grips only add like 1.5 ounces compared to the normal model. Mine weighs in at 5.36 oz

They have a few limited edition models that they released with different scales, but for the most part they are all that material.

REI had a special edition Grip that had G-10 handles. You might be able to find one at a REI store, but I don't think they have any more on-line.

I've never been interested in the Griptilian. But after looking at some of these scales , it makes me think.
