On Tuesday/Thursday mornings I have the 2 youngest while my wife teaches 2 classes at the local community college.

I fed them cupcakes and stuck 'em in front of the TV this morning...

Crap...I DO feel like a BAD DAD when I see in "on paper" like that!!

:foot: :o

Sometimes you do what you gotta do to maintain the sanity....

Mine won't even watch TV! But cupcakes, she likes some cupcakes!

Kinda depends on what they watched. I have had times I had something that had to get done- I picked something with some meat to it and we talked about the story line after the movie. Age apprpriate evrything from Jungle Book or RIKKI Tikki Tavvi/ Charlottes Web/Wizard of Oz on up to BlackHawk Down or A Bridge Too Far/ Longest Day/ Saving Private Ryan for my oldest(12yr). Sometimes I pick 3 movies and he chooses what he watches(keeps him off the damned video games while I am busy).

Not at all bad! Being a teenager, I do look back and value all the time I spent reading or being outdoors. A lot of reading at a young age will prepare them well for later endeavors in life. (SAT's!!!!)

Sometimes you have to do that. I have two, and sometimes actions similar to that prevent the sibling fighting that goes on. Also, there are times we have to get things done.

Not a bad Dad at all.

Besides, cupcakes have eggs and flour in them. All healthy items for growing kids! :p

Dont sweat it...as long as you didnt add vodka to thier milk to take that edge off of them your ok....Besides Dads have to be different than moms sometimes it makes memories..

Clifford and George are OK in my book. Cupcakes, well that depends if mom found out or not. If she did then BAD DAD, if not then

First thing I thought of, even before seeing the poll option, was the Cosby bit.

Great minds and all that.

Dude, sometimes sweets and TV are what's needed for both your sanity and the well being of kids ;)

Nothing wrong with a little slack time man.

I like to take my daughter to the mall, buy an ice cream cone and watch the world go by :D

Remember cake has eggs that good, milk that good too. Bill was right cake the best breakfast for today fast mover

First off...you actually questioned what you did. So, that can't be bad.

It wasn't "MTV Raps"... so that's a plus too.

But writing it down where swmbo could read it seriously questions your mental state.:D

But then again, marrying a woman with a sense of humor is the smartest thing you've done.:p

I have to agree with everyone. Not Bad at all. I have 4 kids. Sometimes I find that a little TV time is good for them. It helps them to settle down when things are getting too rowdy.
