Are you going to start including a cupcake with each knife you ship?

"Curious George and Clifford the Big Red Dog ok?"

TONS better than Spongebob!!!! LOL!!
Old Yeller and Call of the Wild leave an impression but not until about 5-6yr old...

I miss the younger ages now. Grandkids are quite a ways off- hope I make it that long.

I guess I am different. I'm a single father and yes I let them watch some tv but sugar is out. We try very hard to stay away from sugar and fast food and caffeine and soda. I normally cook egg sandwiches or oatmeal for breakfast. I have found that no one has been sick in over a year now! Must do something right. :D

There is noithing wrong with that. Down time for everyone is a good thing :D Mine are now 9 and 11, so I understand.

I'm blessed with children who have all been "under the curve" weight-wise and "above the curve" activity-wise.

And I should confess...I'm no Bill Cosby...I made the cupcakes myself and they are, sadly, not as artery-clogging-yet-oh-so-yummy as the ones you get in the store. :D

They are the kind that only a household of boys raised on homemade whole-wheat bread/pancakes/waffles/etc. would appreciate. The average kindergartener would definitely call them dry, pasty and bland.

But they were there...already made....butter frosting at hand...

And my 2nd youngest comes up to me with half a cupcake in his hand (the other half on his face and in his mouth) and says: "Dhath...Cam I have a cubcay?

:D

What's a guy to do....*groan*

Dave - you sound like a swell single father - something rare in today's world...to be commended. Hope you don't mind me calling this out...I applaud you.

Dan, I began laughing when I read Dhath...Cam I have a cubcay? In my mind I could hear a little voice saying that! Funny stuff!

Thank you for the compliment but I am no "super dad" by any means. I am only trying to do the best I can. We still have our weak moments for sure but we try. I abused my body for many years. I have struggled with alcohol and smoked for over 30 years but haven't drank this year (yet, I do like a beer or 6 here and there) and I did quit the cigs just over 2 years ago. I didn't want my boys to see me and think it is ok so I have "tried" to turn things around since my divorce. I think the main reason was I had to go to a very high deductible health insurance plan so I try to keep us out of the doctors office! hehehe So far it is working (knock on wood). :D

What was Mom going to say? She knew there were cupcakes in the house! :D
I would ask the kids if they had a good time. I know what that answer has to be!

Definitely!!!!

Haven't repeated the "incident".....but I'm not against it either. :D
