Am I a steel snob?

I have blades in M4, ZDP, 3V etc. But some of my favorite knives are on the lower cost steels. I do not cut 200 strips of cardboard ever, and generally use my knives for basic tasks like opening boxes, cutting a strap here and there....I trimmed a belt that I bought in SF that I needed for a wedding. Basic stuff. I really like steels that are quick to get an edge back. Now I do like to try new steels, only out of curiosity....but in reality ergo beats steel in my opinion. And if I was in a survival situation, it would be 10XX anyday.
