• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Am I missing anything that is needed?

I got tired of systems; nothing wrong with them at all but I wanted to sharpen free hand. I mainly use knives with carbon steel. This is what I have to work with:

Norton Crystolone Combination Oil Stone
Smith Tri-Hone (Arkansas Stones)
Keen Kutter Razor Hone
2 Sided Strop with Green Compound and Black Compound

I would say you're missing a wedge, an angle guide / reference, possibly made out of printer paper :)
But if your edge bevels are established to where you can balance the knife on them, you don't really need a wedge:)

I actually think the Smith comes with something like that. I just got it in and haven't had the chance to open it.
