Two years ago I would have thought it nuts to pay more than 75 bucks for a knife and I figured that was the high side until I landed here. Now I have a bunch of knives in or above that range that I carry all the time. Now I have an office job, knives don't get hard use there, but they do get a workout camping and with the Scouts.
If I'm in a situation where loss is a distinct possibility I'll put a Bear or current production Utica in my pocket as they are easily replaced. But otherwise it's GEC, Schatt, Queen, Case, Boker, Canal Street et.al.
