I have a NIB Benchmade 145SBTRT Nimrauvis Cub Real Tree. I believe
the knife was discontinued this year. The thumb locking latch broke
off the Camo sheath. They sent my Camo. handled knife back in a black
sheath. Since this is a new knife I think I should have been given the chance
to request a black handled knife if they didn't have any Camo sheaths.
I would think they would keep extra parts around longer than this. Am
I being unreasonable? If anybody wants to trade for this mismatch, I
might be easy to deal with. Before I'm told this is not the trade forum,
I just want to see if anybody agrees with my position.

They should have sent your knife back in a camo sheath. I tend to agree with you, but you might not have any luck on getting the factory to agree. They probably already feel that they've gone above board on the warantee work.

I would imagine that they would have given you a camo sheath if they had some around. I can understand your frustration at not being given the option of changing knives, but given the limited nature of the camo Nimravus they probably felt that you'd want it back. I'm sure you can find someone on the forum who'll do a trade.

I think your right, Have you given them a call? They have been very nice and helpful the one time i had to deal with them, on a 705. Good luck with it.
James
