Yeah I'm still a noob, but I'm plugging away.

I've done a full flat grind on my second knife. I'm happier with it than I was with my first one. It's much more even. I've got it down to about 0.010 behind the edge all the way down.

But... I've got this sharp plunge line. How do I smooth it out and make it invisible?

Thanks for your advice on this!

Not very easy, but i used a chainsaw file on the first knives I made. Then a sanding block that I made with a radius ground on it to match the plunge.

Yeah, might be tricky. I wouldn't think you'd want to change the thickness in the areas under the handle scales.
A file and lots of hand sanding might work. It would be slow, which is what you'd want.

What's the other side look like?

I've got an idea, depending on the machine, and will try to type it out shortly.
