Oh, to be normal, again.
I'm a modern day Huckelberry Finn. Except I have substituted the Barlow, strind, and frog for... you know! :eek:

This is why I feel right at home here and in other gadget sites. Great minds think alike.

Hi AaronL-

You're not kidding! I find myself spending HOURS on the internet in the evenings browsing related gear sites. My day job is in Information Technology, yet for some bizarre reason I'm considering an ATC LaGana Tactical Tomahawk for absolutely no good reason. It is an unnecessary tool, but there I find myself visiting their site to read the technical information, yet again...

Blue Jays, you're not the only one considering an ATC. :D, and for no good reason except that I just gotta have it.

I think mine stems from Boy Scouts and Search and Rescue, I have carried a knife everyday since about 13 years old. I always wanted more stuff for camping, and once I got a real job it kindof took off.

BTW I just got my first Benchmade in the mail today, a 806SD2 AFCK :)

So many cool knives to buy but too little money. Just dropped like $3000 in knives in the past 2 monthes :) :) . There' s goes the last of my deployment money.

Hi AaronL-

<snip>

We're sick, I tell ya', absolutely SICK! Clearly, there are better ways to spend time than languishing online considering the same gear over and over. The worst part is that I don't have a reasonable explanation for these desires to acquire more equipment.

I have a solution to the problem of spending too much time considering the gear...Just buy everything that you even THINK you like...That is how I go broke all the time...Of course that just gives me more time to browse more sites for gear:(

I also have quite a tent collection. I have a wide array of backpacks and several camelbaks. I have a flashlight in every room and several by my bed. I won't even mention my gun and knife addiction. When I find something I really like I get another one before they quit making it.

I also have a few bombs. I got the camelbak fannie pack thing because I thought it would be more comfortable on my bicycle but instead the wt of all that water hung on my waist, that's when I learned that the camelbak classic rocked! I also got a swamp rat battlerat which is a great knife but a little large for me. I like my benchmade 705 so much I have a spare. The walrus bivy tent goes under the catagory of "bomb", it's just too small but it lead me to the peak 1, which packs smaller, sets up roomier and was cheaper!!!

I used to have a pack of packs but I got a large rubbermaid container now, it's easer to plunder around in.

My name is Margo, I am a gearaholic. {can't wait to get my hands on one of those prybabies!!!}

Is anyone bad enouh to buy two of everything, so you have one to use, and one to put away? HELP!

I was looking at the ATC's, but decided to try a Cold Steel Vietnam Tomahawk first, and I like it a lot. It's satiated me for now.

Regards,

Jeremy
