... or the more conventional spelling: "indecisive" heh.

I just finished mounting dual pocket clips on my ZT0561 so that I can switch pockets. I didn't used the deep carry clips, but something else. I've also mounted 2 clips on all of my folding karambit knives. I find that it generally helps the ergonomics of the knife, plus I can decide which pocked to carry it in on the fly. So, I'm wondering why more folders don't come with two pocket clips? Is this a radical idea?

Here are some pics.

Doesn't that make it a little uncomfortable in the pocket? I always carry my knives at the same spot, in the same pocket, day after day. No need for two clips for me

Some of my Cold Steel folders came with two pocket clips and the screws to mount both. I installed both on those, and it did help the ergonomics. Being able to switch pockets on the fly was nice, as well.

Interesting idea, but I think it looks funny personally. I switch pocket clips position sometimes just for giggles, and sometime a take them off only to add them back on later. Some knives just look better with no clip IMO.

Sometimes I used to carry a folder with a clip in my back pocket. That ended when the clip on an A.G. Russell folder dug into my truck seat tearing the back cushion open like a gutted hog! That damn knife was returned back to Russell's and the clips came off all my other carry knives!

Now all my carry knives get carried in custom made leather sheaths.

I have never installed 2 clips on 1 knife, but i have knives i use for right side, and others i use for the left side. I think i might try this for a while on one.

p.s. if you need a place to put the deep carry 550/560 clips i could find a place for them.

No indecision here. I take them off and throw them away.

Me too, don't like a pocket clip hanging on everything I happen to brush up against. I just drop them into my left front pocket and go on my merry way. Guess it has to do with my using traditional slippies most of my life and never having to use a clip. Same thing about my cell phone, no clip on use, just pocket the thing. No indecision there, just pocket it and go.

Blessings,

Omar

hmm, that's a first I've heard of anyone doing that... Mine are all right hand clip set up, but sometimes at work if my hands are busy it will be put in my left side pocket, or even left breast pocket (if it's a lightweight knife). I'm slow enough opening with my left hand, I don't think having it set up for the wrong side there slows me down any.

on some knives I might remove the clip. Don't think I'd ever install two clips. Right hand clips clip just fine inside left pockets.

What Omar said. I have destroyed too many things with pocket clips, not to mention a large number of jeans pockets. :grumpy:

I am right handed but always carry with the clip on the right side, in my left pocket. I do this because my right front pocket is and always will be where my cellphone goes, and its too hard of a habit to break. Everyone is a little weird I guess?

I haven't tried mounting two pocket clips on any of my knives, it looks a bit goofy but it might work well. I'm ambidextrous and carry a knife on each side, but I have dedicated left pocket and right pocket knives (which is why I like my knives to have the option to screw the clip to either side).

Personally I wish knives didn't have pocket clips and was only given to you as an option.

Pocket clips comes with knife but you have to install it.

I would not want two clips because I always have a knife on each side. Ambidextrous ya know. I have knives that are dedicated left handers. It would be pointless and make my knives unnecessarily wide.

Agreed

On my recent knife purchases, I’ve taken off, and tossed the painted clips (aka crap IMO).. None of my 530’s have clips, and they sit in the pocket in an unobtrusive manner.

I’m not sure what sparked the change, but I’m really liking the idea of other’s not “seeing” my blade clipped on me, this way, only “I” know its there if I want to use it ;)
