I just found it on a knife website that i browse from time to time (I can give you link if interested)

It is supposed to have arizonian ironwood handles and titanium bolsters. I gotta say it's pretty sexy. It's a lockback as well. It will be the most expensive on yet from what i can tell.

How many of you know about this?

It's in the 2012 Catalog

I guess I don't "get" this knife since it's the same backlock Spyderco has been using forever.

This brings nothing new to the table but its cool to see spyderco experimenting. Imo this knife is just a native 5 with TI bolsters and wood. Im not dissing this knife but i think they couldve maybe tried a compression lock or something "new".

The compression lock may come some day, but not for a few more years. This one is a tribute to Mar and McBurnette, just as last year's was a tribute to Blackie Collins, the one before to Chris Reeve and the first to Michael Walker. Sal not being one to blow his own horn, it will likely be some time before we see his locks honored.

Yeah i wasn't too excited about the lock either but it is still a tribute and the knife is a work of art (To me at least) I'm also excited about the jester sprint run. Looks mighty fine and it's not too hard on the wallet.

yah i knew it was a tribute knife along with the other sage series but i wouldve liked to see the compression lock over the back lock. or maybe he couldve at least done the tri ad lock thats a newer design. anyways i wont be getting this one but i have my eye on the techno.
