Am I the only one who does not like post/studs?

I am also not a fan of studs. Having them certainly isn't a dealbreaker, but given the choice I would prefer basically any other opening method.

I prefer holes to studs. The opening hole gives better control. It doesn't get in the way when cutting or sharpening. It is easier to find by feel. I have a few stud opening folders but mostly select a Spyderco to use and carry. Interesting too that the hole was the original one handed manual opening method.

As long as the knife is reasonably easy to open I don't really care. Flippers, thumbstuds, holes....makes no difference to me.

I actually like flippers best with no holes or studs. Probably the fewest choices overall though.

The only stud I've ever come to love was the one on my Kershaw Crown. Other than that, I've either removed the stud & waved it, or bought knives with holes/waves.

The one that really bugged me was my Ti-lite. It has a wave. Why would you use the stud when you have a wave/flipper built into the knife right next to it?

Thankfully it was removable.

i mostly like traditional knives anyway -but i hate studs - i would rather have flipper or hole - i really don't even like liner locks- i like a backspring to hold the knife shut firmly - liner locks just have that little ball indent in the blade -it does not hold it shut that strongly - and most liner locks have studs - also don't like screws that come loose - all the newer style one hand openers are all screwed together - spyderco and the byrd line have all steel knives that don't have studs or screws and are one hand openers -
