Am I the only one...

This has definitely been done ad nauseum.

The style doesn't appeal to everyone, and it's perfectly acceptable if you don't find it aesthetically appealing. Sal has always designed his knives with a certain look which focuses more on performance than aesthetics.

I dig them, but you're not the only one who doesn't

I don't love every Spyderco but some are fantastic. I take them one knife at a time just like with any other knife company.
I do like:
Stretch, Military, All stainless Polliwog, Phoenix, Manix and the G. Bradley.

Some people think Angelina Jolie is unattractive yet I find her rather pleasing to the eye.... It's all in the eye of the beholder....I happen to like Spyderco designs.:D

^ yep agreed

I have to admit that I agree with josh.hicke. But I have found that as time goes on, I have come to appreciate the other great things about Spyderco's (value, durability, quality....). I think that these qualities make the knives more attractive to me, but not necessarily, better looking :D.

I think they grow on you after you use them for a while, you know this or that goofy looking feature works/feels very good.

Just a couple days ago I asked my wife, "I might have to get this knife that I've liked for awhile...this is one sexy knife, don't you think?" talking about the Zero Tolerance 0200. She thought it looked like crap....

I thought to my self, "what the hell??" It didn't take more than a few seconds though to understand it's because she never uses a knife. Sure enough when I showed her any old-school, thin stiletto-style knife she thought it was "sexy".

Angelina Jolie, overrated but still a hottie. Spyderco, ugly... But a great knife made more for function than looks.

No, you are not the only on to find the Spyderco knifes unatractive.
Different strokes for different folks.
Ginger or Maryann?

I'd bet Agelina functions quite well. Oh no, I hope the wife doesnt look on here!

Don't most people buy Spyderco's for the function and quality over looks?

People don't really find that big hole in the blade to be all that appealing, but I can't argue that it works great when you have gloves on. I for one prefer my Benchmade Axis lock + thumbstuds combo, which makes it fairly easy to flick the blade open as well as having a nice slim profile.

It depends on the model for me. :)

But then the same can be said for any manufacturer.

The Spyderco aesthetics don't speak to me but I certainly respect their quality, reputation, etc.

So, you want everyone to carry the same style knife? Doesn't that get boring?

I'm with you, I find most of them ugly. But I love their knives, own many of them, and plan on buying many more.

I expect beauty in my women.
I expect functionality in my knives.
