Am I weird for

I have cell-phones at home and in my car. My wife carries one in her purse. I might be outdated, but I have plenty of room in my rt-front pocket for a clipped folder, billfold in left front (to screw up the pickpockets) and Glock on rt hip...to screw 'em up even more.
Lots of room for everything.
Why do I need to have a phone tied onto my body...every second of every day? I don't care to talk to nobody that I can think of.

Different generations, different pockets. Not really weird at all.

My dads generation, wallet in the left rear, hankerchief right rear, knife right front, loose change left front.

My gen saw the wallet getting used a lot more, and anti histamines on the market - the wallet moved to the right rear, and the hankerchief to the left, which disappeared for EDC.

Spyderco invented the clip, so the knife moved to the top of the pocket, and you could add something bigger in it.

Then, add a cell, which in the day went on a holster, but moved to the pocket. For me, that was the upper left shirt pocket. The pen slides in next to the silicone case. Seeing the vast number of smartphones with broken glass and guys attempting to answer one while giving themselves a wedgy dragging it out of their tight jeans seems a bit silly.

The other method is to carry everything in your hands because sweats and jammies don't have pockets. :thumbdn:

I'm right handed, and have always carried my pocket knife in my left front pocket. Mainly I want to keep my keys and change from scratching my knives...

Lots of people who carry a firearm carry a folder on the opposite side for purposes of weapon retention.

That's where I put my other gun.

I usually wear carpenter jeans that have a little pocket low on the right leg where my knife goes. I don't like knife and phone in the same pocket either but the knife gets priority over the phone.
