Hello anyone with a good heart and a few moments to spare.
I have become interested in the knife models Hornet and Storm
from the spanish " Muela " brand ( which probably counts as
second rate quality , but with my present budget - that's a
unvoluntary price limit ).
However , these two knives appear a little too " clumsy/butch "
to me , mainly because of the saw teeth in the back of the blade.
Can someone tell me if there possibly are any other knives who
are very similar to the Hornet/Storm-design but a little more elegant
and maybe " sleeker" in the lines . Both fixed blades and folders
are of interest. ( even more so if the they are fairly priced ...;) )
The Muela knives are app. 10,5" long.

Have a good day and thank's in advance for any understanding
input.
Greetings Jiggo.

Hello Jiggo, welcome to BF.

It sounds like the Yari might be what you are looking for.

I've had the meula "survival" (4" fixed, rubber handle, 6mm spine, skinning blade, 400C, full tang) since spring '97... takes a sweet edge.

I continue to carry it alongside my spyderco knives, due to quality. It takes anything I've thrown at it so far. Even prying jobs...

EDIT: W&C langauge... thanks Keith

Great Idea! Get a Greco, he now has his own site now and you may want to look at that too, the steel he uses takes a great edge that will withstand abuse. It’s a high carbon tool steel, so it will rust if you don’t care for it, but that’s part of the fun :D the powder coated ones will resist rust quite well, and it is a very durable finish. Get a Greco, you won’t be disappointed.;)

I have a Muela knife 7 inches blade with saw tooth. The saw tooths are worthless but it is not a bad knife for the price. I have been playing very hard with the knife and no bad comments.

I may be wrong but I believe neither the Hornet nor the Storm have teeth on the back (I think one of them has some file-work like decoration but no teeth and no serrations), I also believe they are not amongst the less expensive Muelas (perhaps your are thinking of some other model), you should very well be able to get a good American knife for the same price or less and there are lots to choose from, just look around. I´m sure you´ll get good advice here in the forums, be wellcome.
