Amber Elk Tine and D2 Steel

Thanks much guys.
I like the D2 steel. I have this one at 60 rc hardness. Its Bohlers version of D2 and really nice to work with.

Bruce, you've made another Magnificent traditional style folder. Do i ever wish it was coming my way. Those are by far the finest elk scales i've ever seen and with such great surface texture as well.
Was this a brow tine from a large rack and did you jig it at all ?
If you are interested i could send you quite a few elk brow tines (or entire racks). There are elk lolligagging on my lawn right now, no more than 50' from this computer and the bulls are keen to to be immortalized in a world class knife.
green with envy, roland

Roland,
I'd be proud to immoratalize one of your pet elk tines. You know my address.
I didnt do any jigging but did send them to Culpeppers for the amber dye job. These have real thin red liners under them to add more color. The compliments are appreciated my friend

Real nice, Bruce. I didn't know Elk could be that good looking!
Nice knife.

Very, VERY nice! Beautiful work. I'd be proud of that one, too, if I were you.

Bruce, you're definitely a top gun. Gorgeous knife in EVERY way! Congrats to you and the new owner.
