Hi everyone, I posted this earlier an not sure if my re-subscritption to Blade forums is working or not, I received over 1500 looks at this knife an no replies or nothing, so I'm asking if anyone see's this knife weather you like it or hate it to just send me PM or reply here so I can tell you are really seeing it. we had that Hacking 2 weeks ago an my site had big trouble getting back online an It might not be working right . So here is the repost of this knife an Its has one small pit in the bolster ,besides that , it is a perfect larger carry knife, I carry the same size knife in Burlap scales an love it , its not to big as I thought it would be. Here's the specs again. 4 3/8" closed with 3 1/2 " blade, the knife has a bronze bushing in the pivot area, which helps keep tighter tolerances ( .001 ) an less wear an tear on the pivot area. It has Amber jigged bone scales which look a lot better in person then these photos show. Opening pull is around 3 to 4 with the right Walk And Talk action. Centered perfectly with a two pin inlaid shield. This has the milled liners , inside back spring hand sanded to 6000 grit almost like a mirrow finnish. the blade is hand sanded to 1000 grit an the bolsters are done to 6000 also. Comes with serial numbers on the knife an Letter of Authen. Black leather pouch included. SOLD--- $275.00 -for that price it would be a great carry knife. Thanks for looking an God Bless our Country.

Joe,
SHARP LOOKING BLADE.
The amber jigged bone has a nice warm tone.
The shield compliments the handle and blade shape perfectly.
Nice neat pins.

Thanks Tim, I'm glad to see this site is working again an messages are coming thru. Yes , also Tim on the Shield size , I see you noticed that hehehe. I thought since this guy is bigger then most knives I had better find one of my biggest shields to go with it to equal out everything as you mentioned an I try to round my pins as much as I can an polish them at same time. Thank you so much again Tim.

I've gotten some PM 's asking to see the bolster pit up close . Right now all I have is this one picture , this afternoon I will take more pictures an try an get a closer look. Thanks for the comments , Now I know my site is working again properly. There looks to be 3 pits on the right side bolster in the picture a very small one close to the scales an then a little bigger one about middle ways an the largest up toward the top of the bolster. I could try an sand the bolster down more an it might go away an then again it might just stay. So its my fault for not looking closely at the bolsters while I have them separated an in the final stages of building. This will never happen again on my bolsters, I guarantee that. Thanks again folks.

I like this style knife, almost an Old or Aged look. Very nice bone jig & color, also the blade is beautiful, if it were 3 1/2" or less overall, I'd buy !! PJ

Hi Joe,

I just take the strain any longer. I will take it at $275.00. Send your PayPal address to me at gts1096 at gmail dot com

Thanks,
Greg

GTS - You're going to love that knife. I have one of Joe's and it's top shelf all the way.

Beautiful knife! What is the blade steel?
Matt, Thanks for the question , I forgot to post that . It is CPM-154 heat treated an zero quench then a final two tempers an the hardness was touching 59-60 on my Rockwell machine, it started out around 63 -64 an after zero quench an two more tempers I settle for around 59-60 most of the time if all goes well.

eisman - I too have one of Joe's knives. I had him make me a big back pocket a couple of years ago. Its been through a good number of deer and hogs and is still going strong. Just touch up the blade every now and then and its ready for some serious work.

GTS you got yourself a good custom knife except for the small pit. I carry this exact size knife everyday in jeans an bibs, an it is ok for me .not to big . Some folks might want smaller, and thats fine, I make small also.

Joe,
That tiny "pit" might still be on Your knife 100 years from now (along with a few more slight scratches)
and someone will still be appreciating Your BEAUTIFUL HANDMADE KNIFE. :)

That's true Tim, But solder an bolsters will not be a problem on any more folders I make. Well I better post that knife sold , JW bought it an got a good knife for the price.

Hey Joe,
Please don't send my knife to JW, he might not want to give it back!

Thank You SnooSnoo, I apreciate that. Any time you might want something built, just get a game plan an we will go from there. Best, Joe
