Beautiful work Bill. I like everything about it but my eye is continually drawn to the guard. I think it's a little longer than is "usual" in proportion and I like it a lot!!!

Karl- chiropractors have done about all they can do, its the price one pays for years of heavy construction work, but as they say, what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger, yea right. :D

Ray- I hear ya. Who in the heck named them the golden years. :D

Robert- its a piece of stag I had, I sent it along with some others to cullpeppers, they die every month or so, depending on the requests they get.

Bill I was instantly drawn to the basic blade shape for hunting purposes.
Then you upped the ante with the beautiful damascus and full swedge. If I were the owner, you could have tossed on a broom handle & I would have been happy.
The addition of the guard and stag makes this one of the nicest hunters I've seen. Thanks for sharing this with us.
 
Thank you again everyone for the great comments, especially for the best wishes for my back problems. Things are looking up, I have been able to spend the last 2 days in the shop and the ol backs holding up pretty good, I'm hoping the shop is the medicine I need. ;)

Beautiful hunter! Damascus looks great, love that guard and the overall size/shape/proportions. Would love to see a shot of that butt cap.

Hope your back continues to feel better and that the shop work is indeed the right medicine.

r connally- a friend of a friend came by Friday and bought it and he's from KC so I don't have it anymore or I would get a picture of the Butt cap, sorry.
