What does everyone think of this design? I'm working it over in my head and cant quite decide if its the thing. Fully ambi, fits all kinds of knives in the same size range, and is dangler and mid ride compatible. It looks like a win/win. What do y'all think?

If it flies here, I'm going to send a bunch to the company store. :)

I like it. Without disrespecting or calling into question your craftsmanship can I ask how the retention is on this type of rig. I've looked at them several times and wondered whether the knife would tend to slip or jostle loose over time.

I love the look of them and practicality of the setup.

Great input everyone! Exactly what I was looking for. Honest opinions, good, bad, or indifferent, are a good thing, :) Please keep them coming, I thrive on feedback, if they look like crap to you please let me know.

No disrespect taken! :D These fit tight right now, but I do wonder with time if they will keep it. At the moment they fit nice and snug and I can hold the sheath upside down and the knife wont fall out.

To answer Fitz's question, yes! They would be very easy to wet mold.

I prefer your the ones you made for the M9 LE with a snap.
I was wondering if I should put some together like that, you answered my question. :)

Thanks again everyone!

I like those deep pouch styles, better than the snap type for smaller knives. If you do make some for the Store, then please tell us which Bussekin knives will fit these new sheaths.

Would there even be a need to make an ambidextrous sheath like that? I'm not saying that I don't like the design, because I do like the way they look, but I'm right handed and would rather carry my knife on my right side. I understand that there are some out there that could carry on both sides but I would rather special order a sheath made for right side carry. But that's just me. As the maker, it probably would be a lot easier to make one style sheath instead of two. All in all I think I'd buy one of those :) Nice work Leatherman!

+1 for a snap, I'm usually dangling from treestands and the such so a snap has to be on my sheaths.
Great design, I'd buy one

Some great thoughts there safetyman! :) An ambi sheath isn't for everyone for sure. I make a lot more standard sheaths than ambi.

Uh ... ditto. Guy got here before me!:)

Great work as always Dwayne!

Personally, I prefer more of a mid ride sheath. I like the looks of that one though. I can see the benefit of having an ambi sheath, just to help out those odd-ball leftys ;) and have the ability to switch from strong side to weak side with one sheath. One question: Would the pricing be less since it's not molded? If it's the same price, I'd go with one of your standard models (they are hard to beat).

Boy, I try and give you a compliment....

I've worked for the federal government so long ... I had to look up that strange word ("compliment").:D

BTW, I see that NoVa and Cleveland have one more thing in common -- same snowfall total. Until about 2 hours ago. It's coming down pretty hard now. I think we're going to break the record by the time this is over.

Keeping my head down in NoVa.

Nice sheaths. I second or fourth the opinion on deep pouch for the smaller blades. Increased retention is the way to go on a small dangler sheath IMO.
