Ambi Bushcrafty type sheaths for the Howler and RMD

That's Medium Brown, and yes, I love it too. Never used it until a year or so ago and now its ranking above Saddle Tan. :)

Whoah! GhostWolf! Welcome back! Good to see you again! :D

I really like the dangler, pouch style. I've used them exclusively on scandi blades over the years, and have never had them come loose when I didn't want them loose. I HAVE lost a blade from a snap sheath, when the snap came loose in the brush. Fortunately found it later.

Those look great! Personaly the deep pouch dangler is my favorite sheath type. Great retention with easy access. What's not to like.

Looks well thought out and constructed. The lines are neutral, not tactical not too bushcraft/scandi if you know what I mean. I think this allows them to work with a broader range of knives, can only be a good thing imo.

Are you thinking of offering a sort of stock go to ambi sheath for different grouping sizes of blades? I mean by this:

1) Small Ambi Sheath for blades 2-4 inches
2) Medium Ambi Sheath for blades 4-7 inches
3) Large Ambi Sheath for blades 7-11 inches
4) XLarge Ambi Sheath for blades 11+ inches

It might just be me but I could see a market for that. Hate to compare but it could be sort of like what Spec Ops sheaths offer now for mil/tactical knives but obviously in leather with a different look, more versatile design (when it comes to all the different knives that could use the sheath) and a broader appeal.

Keep up the good work.

Well, I was skeptical about this style of sheath "pouch " (see my previous post#4) not owning one before. Then I ordered a spyderco bushcraft which came with a pouch style sheath. I started liking it the more I handled it so I thought I would try the one Dwayne made. My initial concern with a sheath like this was retention while on a quad or horseback and all the banging around. I am currently without a ratmandu so I tried it with my scrapper 5. This sheath has a lot more retention than I would have thought. I am very pleased with its fit, finish and function. Now I have one sheath that can carry different knives, can be used left or right handed. Can be worn mid height or dangled and if for some reason I wanted redundant retention I can tie the end of my lanyard to the ring on the dangler part of the sheath. I could not ask for a more useful sheath. Thanks Dwayne your first instincts about this sheath were right on!!!

Thanks very much for the review! I dont get to see much in the way of feedback real often and its a treat when I do. :) I am very happy you like the sheath! I hope to make more soon, if all goes well in a couple of weeks.

Res C has a great grip on leather, sometimes a little too great in pouches, even when I dont form fit the leather it grabs on for dear life. :p
