This cherry bomb came knocking at my door this week. It was mighty cold outside so I decided to let it in.

This knife has exceeded all my mental pictures of what I thought it would be. I gotta say, the fit-and-finish is like no other knife I have. I'm an inspector at a machine shop specializing in medical devices, and my trained eye cannot find a thing wrong. Symmetry is spot on, grinds are exceptional. No gaps, no sunlight when looking in the channel, everything seemless. I even eagle-eyed it under my microscope at work. Blade opening is butter smooth and dead flush at halfway and open. Just the right amount of pull when opening. Not too weak, but you don't have to pry it open. Walk and talk is like wingtips on concrete, crisp and snappy.
The natural canvas micarta has such a 3D thing going on. Lots of depth visually speaking. I love canvas micarta. It has such a salt-of-the-earth, no nonsense look to it. Yet it still seems dressy in a way on this slippie.
At 3 3/4"ths long closed I though it would be at the high end of what is pocketable, but this bugger simply disappears in a front pants pocket. That may have to do with it only being 7/16"ths thick at its widest.
I just want to tip my hat to Brent Cramer for making one of my fave patterns EXACTLY how I wanted it.
