Here is a cheap way out, if you can't buy them, or make them. I use a hex cap screw with a small split washer, and washer on the opposite side of the thumbstud. If the screw pokes too far thru, you can just file the end down. The head of the 2-56 hex cap with the other spacer are just enough to help you open it from the 'weak side'. This is better than nothing

. I don't have any extra washers, or split washers. A hexnut on the opposite end would work, too ...limited only by ones imagination.
