this is my favorite drooling and heavy breathing knife porn site, and before I weaken and spend money.. maybe somebody knows something I don't?

I am NOT working for him, don't know the guy, havn't bought one, am not bragging on them, don't care if YOU buy one or not, just want info. tyvm..

Wicked cool designs but you have to like thick chisel-grinds. I had an original tactical steak knife & it was nasty business, but I'm right-handed and in reverse grip the grind was meant for a southpaw.

He's a good guy.
Got a custom piece from him a while ago and I agree with what fishface said.

Workmanship is unreproachable in the price range, DJ is a pleasure to work with.

Only thing is you have to like THICK hollow-ground chisel knives. They are good for their purpose, but I wouldn't use one for kitchen duties let's just say.

I own the American Kami 1) Tsuno 2) Migs Tanto and 3) Riot Spear They are all well-made heavy duty chisel ground blades.

that has been my concern. i've *always* disapproved of single bevel knives by habit, i'm a freehand sharpener with a religous adherence to the appleseed edge, 'sot in my ways'.. and habitually reprofile edges to that.

i'm skeered i'd ruin a perfectly good blade. i think* i could live with the edge becoming offset from the back/flat , it's not the blade shape itself that i have trouble with, they're gorgeous. And his handles just suit me immensely.. I also don't want to make a good knifemaker mad at me. ;)
