Thanks, guys!

meanoldbobber: LOL!

frc505: You know, I totally see that.

Would dig to see that. The problem is, on the one hand, I prefer custom to production wherever possible. On the other hand, I prefer double ground knives over chisel ground. But I would still like to see the proto, to get a better idea of what the custom version looks like... cheers!

Buffalohump: I do build a handmade custom version of these knives, but only in oil hardening steels, and only chisel ground. I just don't have them up on the site yet. If you like, I'd be happy to post up a pic of the prototype that I've been carrying the last nine months.

Here are a couple of pics of the very first prototype that I beat on for about 9 months prior to replacing it with one of these mid-techs:

I've got another one ground and on the Bench now if you'd like to see that. Profile on that one is closer to the mid-techs, and I like the grinds on it better.

Very cool knives! What are those screws holding the handles together?

Knives THIS good, this well thought out, and with a website which clearly identifies the single maker in charge, I'm so surprised you are using an anonymous, confusing forum name AND without a signature or link.

That's my input. You deserve all the props you are getting. But DJ, step out into the open!

Thanks guys!

Jim: That's extremely kind of you to say, man. The username is something that I've been using since the Jurassic days of the Internet. I may look into changing it, but I'll certainly add a signature.

^^^ THAT'S a nice step.

I logged in for years as 'Coop747'. Still one of my emails. (It's a reference to a drag racing record from 25 years ago.) Change IS hard. :)

Your title and sig changes everything. Well done.

Best regards,

Coop

See, I AM capable of learning.

:D

JT: Thanks, buddy! Good to hear from you. And I certainly hope so! :)

Buffalo: Glad you like it! Served me well until I swapped it out of rotation for one of the mid-techs. I'll try and get a pic of it up before I leave for Hotlanta.
