American Kami?

I just saw this on Gunbroker and am very intrigued. I have never seen this type of hawk before, nor ever heard of this brand/manufacturer. Anybody know anything about them/their products?

American Kami blades are great. DJ is the knifemaker behind American Kami. I own several knives including his new riot spear. Most of his blades are chisel ground but all appear to be sturdy. www.americankami.com

DJ told me that he modeled his riot spear, swords, and hawk designs after a certain type of hammer. He used the hammer design as a means to connect the pieces of his larger swords and hawks together. http://www.douglastool.com/hammerhome.htm
