I made it into a spanto. I'm still in love with the XM-18, and make spantos of every American tanto I can get my hands on.
So rather than buying Cold Steel spear points, I buy tantos and mod them. :thumbup:

Careful buddy. The bug will bite you. It all started with an AL for me as well. Then a Recon 1. Then a Code 4. Then a Mackinac Hunter. Then a AK-47. Then another AL (Steel lined version). Then another Recon 1 (Tanto XHP). Then an Aluminum handled Ti-Lite (XHP) then a Talwar (XHP).
Then you will start in on their great fixed blades.

You can get the new AL for less than $80 now, but i can't find the other 2 with less than 2X the price... So i bought a black one and a brown one.

Yeah the al is a great deal. I love my Emerson's but honestly the lawman is a way better slicer. The Emerson's are lightning fast to deploy though. Utility the lawman wins. Defense the Emerson's win. Lol
Yeah that's true. I love Emerson too, i've had 5 cqc7s over the years, i remembered back then i can still buy the 7 for ~$110. The talwar and the AK47 should even the playing field. If only they produce an 8 inch version of the Talwar and you will have a fair comparison.
