Hey guys,
Up for grabs today is an American Parang with a stabilized curly Mango and natural canvas micarta handle.
This is a seriously beautiful blade and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
The American Parang is a beefed up version of the classic south east asian blade. Its a completely massive chopper. The blade alone is bigger than something like an ESEE Junglas. All you need is a snap of the wrist to send the blade sailing through whatever stands in its way. The handle is made for a large hand and features a wide rear flare so chopping can be done with minimal fatigue.
Like all my knives, this parang is a warrantied for life against breakage or serious damage that occurs during use.
There is a flaw on this knife. The lamination lines on the bolsters have epoxy visible which I have included a picture of. I will be offering this blade at a discount because of this. Its pretty minor and will not cause issues during use.
Here's the specs
Steel- 3/16th 52100, 58RC edge, spring tempered spine.
Length- 21.5 overall
Blade- 15.5in/ 14in cutting edge
weight 28.5 ounces.
Handle- Stabilized curly Hawaiian mango w/ canvas liner and bolster
Finish- acid washed flats, scotchbite satin bevel.
BTE thickness- .030.
Asking Sold shipped via USPS priority. Includes a Black pancake style kydex sheath but I don't recommend using it if you want to keep the blade finish nice.
