American Service Knife (ASK)

The Jefferson is what I’d like to start with, and hopefully add the wharncliffe, a small Phillips, a can opener, and scissors. I know it’ll be pricey (and big/heavy), but I guess there’s worse things I could throw my money at. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hearing from people who’ve handled one is exactly what I’m waiting for. I read somewhere that there’s a plan to switch to magnacut, I might hold off until that happens.
Yeah. So I watched a video he posted. The ones for order are for the first runs of each model some are s35 or s45 steels and will be in marked. They are pre production runs I guess. Then the switch to magna cut. I’ll be waiting as well.

The one on the right is a AR-15 bolt cleaning tool and the holes are for rough range finding tool for a adult male at multiple distances. 400m 300m 200m 100m
Range estimates That’s what the ACOG is for…

Just kidding. Interesting ideas on these but yikes $240

That tool with the 2 wrench cutouts seems almost worthless.
I can guarantee you will be hard pressed to find a bolt or nut in a place that you can really get to with that.

I really do not think this thing is really very traditional at all either.
One better be 10mm 🤣

That would have shown a bit of practical thinking about real world mundane life.
In this case they added the wrench cutouts because they could, sure one size will sort of work to turn driver bits if you hold it just right and the other is a common nut driver size but I can't imagine how you're gonna be able to effectively use these 2 " wrench " sizes.

Been a long time since I field stripped an M16/M4, but I can't see what that bolt cleaner tool does better than the field cleaning kit does.

Man, on their face, they look neat, but not $240 just-to-check-out neat. Those tools simply don't do it for me, though the blades look nice, and I like that they're in a modern steel. That would be a neat $160 knife and I'd be in, but at $240, I'm not seeing the value here. I'm sure plenty of them will be immediately posted up on Instagram for those sweet, sweet likes, though!
