Cool. Nice pants on the 5. Does your sheath retention snap close with the Micarta ?
Maybe some of you guys, or Ethan can chime in on this one.
One thing that I don't fully understand about the Bk5 is that it looks to have the same coating as the other BK&T knives. Those that strip their blades often say that it is for more sanitary food prep. If that is the case why does the Bk5 come with a coating? Is the coating different, more food safe? In the database Bladite shows older Bk5s without the black coating. Why the change?
Thanks
Jeremy

Okay, where do I check in my Man-Card??
Hats off to ya brother..
Some Spydercos are made in the U.S.?! I had no idea, I may have to rethink my stand on them. Good lookin' food dude!
Here is a link where you can see which Spyderco's are made in the USA. I do have to say though that all their knives are made well no matter what the country of origin.

Thanks for the link Liveitloud, I'll use it for sure! Believe me I understand quality comes from all over. I know this topic has been mulled over and over and I don't wanna jack up Moose's thread with it, I just prefer to keep my cash stateside.
