I have came across a ton of ammo cans at a pretty low rate. Is there anyone interested in this?

I can get (large) 5.56 / 50 cal and 223(small) military ammo cans for 5 and 4 dollars per. They are in good shape just have tan paint on the writing. Shipping of course would be on the buyer. Large 5.56 / 50 cal weighs 5.5 lbs and the small223 weighs 3.5 lbs.

I am looking at interest in this. I need to know if anyone is interested before I go and get them but I need to get going on this ASAP before they are gone.

Also, I am going to be in Al in Aug for the RAT tactical week so I can bring some with me or if anyone is close to DeSoto National Park you can pick them up.

I voted no as they have been having 30 cal cans in very good shape at the local gun shows priced at 4.00 each or 3 for 10.00.
Yours wouldn't be a bad price if it wasn't for the shipping or if they were not available local.
 
u812...thanks for the vote. I understand totally!! I might be able to work out a better deal if I can get enough interest. Buying in bulk is always better.
 
Your price is not bad,they dried up around here for a while.
I would be interested if I could not get them local.
BTW I guess we are breaking the rules here but I do not know here else you could post this question and poll.
 
Yea I know.... I don't want to break the rules and don't really know if I am but I didn't know where else to put this. If your source dries up let me know.
 
I updated the weight of each can. If you want to figure shipping now you can. I live in zip code 42701 so...... go to usps.com and you can get a idea on shippings charges depending on how many of each kind you might be interested in.

Also I went to Lowes today and got Goof Off Graffiti Remover in the spray can. It took off the brown paint like it was going out of style. It left the green undercoat but I bought some new Rust-Oleum od green paint to re-spray the one that I am keeping. They look pretty darn good now. But lets be a little real for a min.... they are ammo cans so what does looks really mean...... I guess I am a little vain!! :)

It looks as though there is a pretty good amount of interest thus far. I am going to go and pick up a bunch of these cans tomorrow(can't today). I can strip the brown paint off but it will cost a dollar a can!!(you know the labor and materials) Just let me know folks.

OK folks..... I went and got 10 of each today. I will post a real for sale thread as soon as I get a chance.
