Amplitude 3.25?

I don't have it, but it has peaked my interest on my occasions. It'll be interesting to hear what others say
 
It's an okay knife for the price. I have the blackwash version with the decorative-looking pivot, but rarely use it now. The pocket clip is very good for deep carry, the blade profile allows for decent slicing, and overall is comfortable in the hand. I wasn't too impressed with the lockup though. After mild usage over time the lock felt like it was starting to slip when applying pressure to the back of the blade. Also, the Speedsafe assist is very strong so I had to be careful to hold onto the knife firmly when opening.
 
Take the SpeedSafe spring out. I did it on my Echelon and it made a huge difference on the usability of the knife

I know on some of Kershaw's models you can't de-assist them due to the lack of a detent. I wonder if the Amplitude has a detent or not?

Don't really know if it has a detent or not. You may not be able to do as I suggested.


Personally, I like the looks of the smaller Amplitude over the 3.25 but that's just me. It seems to be a little cleaner in it's styling but, a 3 1/2 inch blade is hard to beat. Maybe I will look at the 3.25 the next time I am at my local Kershaw dealer.
 
There's a ball on the lockbar, but no detent hole on the blade. At least on the Amplitude 3.25 blackwash version.

I like the looks of the 2.5 better as well, but never took interest because it would be to small to be functional for me.

It's well done, no flaws, everything works. It came in pretty sharp as well. I had wanted a blackwash for a while, I really like it.
Great value for the cost. Now it's no CRK, but well......
