I’ve recently found the Northman by Bill Rapier of Amtac Blades. The Northman is designed to replace the folder that many of us carry clipped to the front pocket of our jeans. I love the size of these knives and the way they pocket carry. The flat scales are comfortable and increase the torque /amount of work these knives can do. About 6” overall with a 3” blade the knife is compact and easy to carry. I’ve had a Northman in my pocket since I found them.
This version is Bill’s marked version with a combination serrated and plain edge. The serrated section cuts heavy rope, cardboard and other tough materials leaving the plain edge for finer cutting tasks.
I have both the black pocket sheath and the camo belt sheath for you to choose from. I’ll sell the knife with both of these sheaths for an additional $75. These sheaths come with a fire steel and a Velcro pouch on the back to carry tinder, cash or other small items. The Northman can go in the sheaths either way allowing both left and right hand carry.

This knife comes with a trainer that has its own sheath that allows you to sheath your live blade while you train with the blue trainer in your main sheath.

The only potential drawback to Amtac Blades is their price. Bill’s knives run $500-650 and the additional carry sheaths run right at $90 each.
I’m a firm believer in buy once cry once. I’m also a firm believer in Amtac Blades.
This serrated Northman comes with your choice of carry sheath, a blue trainer and trainer sheath for $450 shipped in CONUS.
Thanks for looking.
