Amy gets her man

Okay I have to tell the whole story...
When I was at the booth I saw Alton (My Hero) at the other booth my heart was racing and I took off to get to my man I quickly told Jerry and Jennifer that he was here so they walked me over and Jerry went over and tapped Alton on the back and told him that his biggest fan wanted to meet him...I was so excited I could not sit still I was jumping around and well overwhelmed. Alton told Jerry that he would come over and meet me ONLY if I stopped doing to the "freak dance" he comes over and puts his arm :o around me for a picture I was shaking so bad he told me to stop vibrating....LOL I totally lost whatever "coolness" I was trying to show....then he said he would come over to our booth......and that my friends is a whole NEW story....I will post that once I get some pics from the Big guy....What a AMAZING moment:thumbup: Thanks Tony and I will e-mail you as soon as my hands quit shaking from the excitement of remembering my MAN.:thumbup:
 
Amy - that is soooo cooool. :) Funny how we act when we meet someone like this.

Shaking and jumping around - too funny. Of course you have not yet meet ME in person either.............:D :D :D

(and I of course would be the person shaking and jumping around - BTW ;) )

After it was all over, the perimedics had to take about 8 passersby to the hospital to be treated for slashes from amy's knife as she freakishly wielded it in her excitement and unknowingly slashed them. :eek:

Luckily, her idol was quick enough to jump back and evade her slashes.

The knife was so sharp that two of them were cut and didn't even know it. They walked around and continued to look at knives as they bled out. EMT's found them crumpled outside the main doors with confused looks on their faces. Luckily, both recovered. One has 37 stitches and the other, 54 stitches.
 
So Alton walks up to the Busse booth, with Amy behind it, and sees the famous Pink Knife/Sheath she is packing. He comments, and asks to see it. Amy pulls it out and she is shaking like a Jack Russell Terrier on Red Bull. (David Brown kept handing her cans) She tries to hand it to Alton, and he reproaches her, saying "Don't you know to never hand over a knife point first?" "Why don't you lay it on the counter". He picks it up, looks it over, they talk a little about it, big smiles all around. Instead of handing it back, he has Amy turn a little to the side, and he leans over the counter to drop it in the sheath for her. :cool: I don't know how she managed to hold still long enough for that, because she immediately started bouncing up and down like Tigger!
 
Thats awesome Amy! Alton is my culinary hero as well. Glad you didn't take any of his fingers off though. Boss hog should have sold him a leaner meaner or maybe you can send him a custom Busse steak knife...A Busse knife in one of his episodes would be pretty darn cool.

So are you framing that picture of you two together and putting it over the fireplace?

And the fact that she is a BABE!!!

(reminds me very much of a Polish girl I know in Chicago....ahhh sigh....:o )
 
After Alton, Tyler Florence and Giada are my favorite celeb chefs. I have stolen sooo many recipes from her show it's not even funny. (great, easy recipes)...And yes she is a total babe.

However have you seen the show the Next Food Network star where she's a judge? She may look all cute on her show but she was putting the contestants in their place and laying the SMACK down. Gotta love that fiery Italian temper (I'm gonna run away now before my Italian girlfriend reads this).

On a funny note my friend's roommate who doesn't even know which end of a pot to throw water into and has no interest in cooking is totally in love with her and owns every single DVD of her the Food Network puts out.

Also if I'm not mistaken Alton is a huge knife and watch nut.

Congrats Amy on meeting your hero.
