I forged this knife from 1/4 inch thick 1095 steel from tip to tapered tang which gives the blade a crazy good balance. The palm swelled handle also fits and feels great in the the hand. After forging the blade was scandivex ground and differentially heat treated with an edge hardness of about 60 Rc. The blade finish on this knife is textured with a small ball peen hammer during the forging process giving a nice rustic look and file worked spine is added a touch of class.
SPECS:
Steel: I started with 1/4 inch thick 1095 and forged the blade and shaped and tapered the full tang under the hammer. Differentially heat treated with and edge hardness of 60 Rc

Overall Length 9.5 inches
Handle: Fiddle back walnut scales with black spaces attached to the tang with loveless bolts and epoxy and finished with Tung oil.
