An Attempt to build a better 112

According to the new catalog, the 882 is still available from BUCK. The new number is 882SBTGB and in comparing it to the 882SBT in the '04 catalog the only difference I can see is the handle is now made from G-10. The original handle was "TACCOM" which was a "glass reinforced nylon." (The G-10 version was introduced in '05). And I agree, the current MSRP of $186.00 takes it way out of my range....

Trax, I was crusing another forum, saw this thread and thought of you for some reason...interesting what they say about the material? Preston

Edit to get the attention of Chickentrax...

OK Trax, if you saw this post and are just ignoring it I'll understand...but I did post it as serious... did you look at the material that was being used on the handles of that balisong?

...zzzzzzzzzzzzz...zzzzzzzzzzzz...

*Huh*??? Oh, the PCB handles...Yep, I saw them...you don't want a knife handle made of a circuit board...those traces are *sharp*... :p

But it's funny you mentioned those...the old breadboard radio rigs used to use Micarta to mount all their electric dohickeys...my dad used to have a bunch of that...and I see that Jantz has green and maroon Micarta...I might order some of that maroon...maybe green, too...

OK, I don't know about traces???? Did you ever do anything with the breadboards???? Preston

Not yet. Truth to tell - I forgot. I used the black Micarta on this 112; worked real good. I'm ordering more, in black linen. Also one piece of white Micarta.

Not yet. Truth to tell - I forgot...Trax, you have been busy with other things. Probably don't need the breadboards, circuit boards, or motherboards your doing great as it is. Preston
