Little jet-black hellcat. So clever, and such a little talker. We named her Lenore. She's attacking my camera here, so the pic isn't of the best quality. I'll get some better images once she goes to sleep:confused:

Errrr, what do the frogs say about this turn of events? Was it prophesied?

She looks like a handful. I'll have to get a pic of Mongo the Fearless Furball when I'm back from Reserves. Mongo's my cat, she's not afraid of anything, including dogs that outweigh her by over 145 lbs. and would like to eat her. She's fun.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before
But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, `Lenore!'
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, `Lenore!'
Merely this and nothing more.

From Poe's The Raven 1845

Great name for a cat:)
I've had several black cats growing up. However, after reading Poe's short story about one...<<shiver>> it really stuck with me.

Is there anything cuter than a kitten? Sweet Josh.

Why, yes, Andy- puppies! :p

As much as I dislike most cats, I have to admit that kittens are cute.

We just got a kitten too. My daughter has named it Princess Snow. We haven't seen a mouse since. Get it neutered/spayed in a few months. We forgot and ours started marking the house as it's territory. It took me a long time for me to mark all the spots it did to proclaim my dominance :-)

Awww, Josh, she's so cute! :)
While we're talking beastly beasties -- here's baby ferret 'Uku, AKA Mongo, AKA Fatty McFatFat, devourer of worlds (OK, in this case it's yummy hairball medicine)...

My foot is not deformed -- I have the ability to fold my toes underneath and it gives me more gripping power. Some of those scars are Oscar's fault. He can be out of line at times, especially when catnip's involved.

Oscar's story is long and sordid and probably not appropriate for this thread, but since it was veering into a cat thread anyway, I figured that he could make an appearance.

Ferrets are cool, dogs are cool, but a cat is what I have. Fortunately he's quite a bit more personable and aggressive than the typical housecat.
