An awful pic of the new beast

Aww, cute! Is Oscar training for the Kitty UFC? Get that mouse!! :D

Ferrets rock. Too bad they smell. :(

Actually ours don't smell bad. 'Uku was nicknamed "Stinky" for a few weeks when my roommates first brought him home (the ferrets at the pet store always smell pretty bad for some reason) but with a clean ferret condo, clean blankets, good food, and a super-girly hygiene regimen (monthly bath + regular ear-cleaning + cucumber melon conditioner spray + brushing/vacuuming) he smells pretty good now. Towards the end of the month the boys do smell a little -- they have a discernible but not unpleasant corn-chip smell -- but they never smell bad like the ones at the pet store do.

Uku!? I love it!:D

haven't heard Uku since Maui...a ferret named flea..sounds like a story:thumbup:

Indeed. I'm training Oscar up as a grappler, although he seems to have a preference for striking. We'll work on that.

I'm with Josh here...cucumber-melon conditioner spray?

Geez, Nova, that's big ferret. Way bigger than my sissy boy Gruntz the runt. Here's my favorite pic of him destorying the drapes my wife had just hung up. He's getting a little older, but he's still full of trouble. Not a day goes by that he doesn't bite the hell out of the dog...or my wife:D my wife had to trade in her thick wool socks that she likes to wear in the morning for a pair of those hard outdoor kroc slippers:eek: I don't think I'll ever be without a ferret. They're too much fun:)

What a cute naughty little ferret! :) The funniest thing is that 'Uku is only 8 months old. I have nightmares about him being the size of a German Shepherd when he's fully-grown.

Yes, cucumber-melon conditioner spray. I think I might have mentioned that these are the wussiest ferrets in the known universe -- they don't bite, they don't scratch, they will crawl into your lap to snuggle when they're tired, and they demand to be tucked in at night. They are, however, the natural enemies of leather shoes and rolls of toilet paper.

Uku!? I love it!:D

The older (runty) one is named 'Uala -- "sweet potato"! :)

Here's a cute pic of the little dudes at Alki beach (tired & grumpy w/sandy noses):

I miss our little ferret Matilda, who adopted me when I found her on patrol in an industrial park (me on patrol not her).
She was soo loving and energetic, never ceasing to cause mischief. She even caused an arguement with my wife and I when my paycheck ended up missing and my wife was wanting a new sadle. Matilda had stolen it, along with anything that was shiney metal, and hiden her booty behind a dresser drawers set. I needed to have a payroll Dept. cancel the check and reissue a new one. Monthes later we found Matilda's cache and my wife never let me forget it.
Matilda sadley passed from a tumor that I understand is common for them. We still miss her and how lovable she was, even when she was a thieving little bundle of trouble
