I rescued this Genuine Norlund axe head from the junk pile and breathed new life back into it. I did not want to modify this head too much so I removed all the active rust and gave it a cool antique finish. I decided to leave the large pock marks on it to keep with the aged look. A little back story on this head. When I got it there was still some of the old head left in the eye, along with the wedges. When I cleaned out the eye I found that the wedges were two old lock keys. I can just imagine the guy who did this, grabbing whatever he could to use for wedges. The two keys will come with this axe . The handle on this one is made from hickory and has a black cotton cord wrapped grip and the whole handle is coated with marine grade resin.
22 1/8in long X 1 1/8in wide at widest. Head: 6 5/8in long X 3 5/8in wide and 1in thick at the back. The last picture is what the axe head looked like when I first found it.
