This has become one of my most popular styles. It is for the serious hunter or camper who doesn't want to carry a large knife but still wants one that will do the job. I carry a knife this size while hunting everything from upland game to white tail deer and elk. The only reason I would carry a larger knife would be if I thought I needed to skin and quarter a large animal in the field; in that case I would carry two knives.
I used stock removal for this from 1/8 inch 52100 high carbon steel
I heat treated in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles and paid attention to creating a fine grain throughout the blade.
Hollow grind
The harpoon clip is not sharpened
Stabilized and dyed maple handle with a black liner
Overall length: 7 1/4 inches
Blade: 3 1/4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop
SOLD delivered within the US. I will ship out of the US but extra postage will apply. My email and PayPal account is gldrewknives@gmail.com
