That's a really nice project. Came out very well.

Now you can pair your BK2 with a Glock 17 and the 2/3 with a G26.

All you need is a BK3/4 to go with a G19 and you have a full set.

(Feel free to sub in Government, Commander, Defender if that is more your thing)

Thanks.
I'll definitely go with the Gov't, Commander, Defender. :-)
Or perhaps the Blackhawk, GP100, SP101. :-D
Dang, if only I had that Single-six I've been coveting for years I could do a nice photo pairing...

Actually, I think a 75% reduction version would probably really be the bee's knees. The handle might be juuuust long enough. 65% happened to be the maximum scale that would fit within the bounds of the material on hand.

When is the passaround?

Heh.
When Ka-Bar makes a limited run. :-)

They could scale and water-jet the blanks, finish them in a low-volume production manner, and contract scaled micarta scales (guessing those are CNC-cut) and kydex sheaths. Would you pay full-BK2 price for a limited-edition 75% scale? For a 75% BK-10??

That is pretty freaking cool. I'm always amazed at the skill and craftsmanship displayed by the folks on this forum.

Nice work, and just 10 hours too. I think if I tried to make something like that it would take me a few days at least and it would look pretty crappy.

Gonna make yourself a nice sheath for it?

Believe me, the first one took twice as long and looked 1/3 as good. Imagine Crocodile Dundee saying "That's not a knife"...

Gonna make yourself a nice sheath for it?

Yeah, I need somewhere to stick it.
I'm not feeling the leather, tho I've got plenty. Maybe this will finally kickstart the kydex thing.

I like it. Could be a Camptweener, or the Bushmoose. Could go either way. Love that blade design, and that makes it a great size. I saw Ethan chimed in on it, that's good. Real good. Means you caught his attention. There are some many Beckers I want to see made, its sick. Bladite wants the Machax. I want the Tweeners. No, scratch that, I want the Camptweener. And, the one I want probably the most, more than all,

BEASTK2.

Hey Mooseman, glad you like it.
What is the BEASTK2?? Is it that BK-dado hand tool someone bolted together awhile back?

THIS, is the artistic concept by JV3, and it known to all as BEASTK2

Holy Moly.
I wish I had a bigger file.

Now that's a bigun' ... give it an other half a handle and it would be a small sword ... that would be cool. Ain't too many but Busse got a sword that's ready made (10x the price though)

Just in case Ka-Bar is reading this, they could sell seven hundred billion of those..

Great Job man!!

Seriously, that looks like the Appalachian version of a Roman short sword.
I'd have absolutely no use for it, but I'd carry it strapped across my back. And I'd wear a fur loincloth. (wouldn't you?)

The BK-2/3 vs. The Apple

The setup...

IMG_20110204_195426-small.jpg

The winner!

IMG_20110204_195511-small.jpg

The knife began the cut easily enough, but the wedge-shaped blade demanded a fair amount of force, until the apple was suddenly clove in twain all at once. This blade is rather like a prybar on fruit. It tore asunder with a great crack. Practical? No. Hilarious? Oh yes.

Maybe there's some cheese and dry sausage in the fridge... That would be appropriate 2-eener fare.

(btw, the paracord needed the core removed to fit through the 3/16" OD lanyard tube)
