I'm really diggin this piece. Between this one and Jason's Kuk I wanna give it a go. Looks like a great project. Not a fan of the cord wrap but that look appeals to me on this knife. Great job Stuart.

So, we gotta figure out what kind of wood, (or perhaps green micarta) to use for the handle. I'd say we wait til the blade is polished and hamon emerges, but we got bog oak, stabilized and not, stabilized maple, virgin walnut, and virgin oak
I'm going to experiment with vids soon
My vote for handle material would be to use the non stabilized Bog Oak and do a sand blasted finish like they do on pipes.
