An exhaustive (and exhausting) look at khukuri shapes and sizes...

I may have to literally print the whole thing out in order to truly appreciate the whole scope of what our Dan has done!!!!
Absolutely Fantastic!!!!

Some couple years or so back someone posted a pic of the Super Salyan as it would have been made if done to the proper scale.
I was still on my old WebTV back then but I printed it off. It came off in two pages the way I had to do it and I taped them together to make a perfectly scaled Super Salyan that is oh so beautiful to behold!!!!
It makes the large AK look like a wimp!!!!:D

Physics? Science and Khukuris? I don't need no stinking science!
OK, so I've saved all the charts.:) Nice work Dan, I appreciate all
the effort this has taken on your part. The comparison charts are great, thanks.
Regards,
Greg

First time I've had a chance to look at this and all I have to say is Holey Toledo! It belongs either on the HI site or FAQ. Great effort and many thanks.

Although I freely confess to being left way behind by the physics :o, the first group is really helpful in comparing (and lusting after) the various models. I agree with Uncle Bill that it belongs on the HI website; perhaps the entire project would be more appropriate on the FAQ for the more scholarly among us. Great work!

Pen,

I would be glad to host this work of yours on the FAQ pages if you would like. I think it would communicate well to some people the other writings might not touch.

Drop me a line if you wish and we can figure out how to get it done.

And useful. I found myself comparing my Aks GSs and YCS to the charts, and they seem to be quite accurate. Fun to find your own khuks in the mix!

Keith

As a newbee I do Thank you for putting these all into perspective. Maybe we can talk Uncle Bob into blowing them up to poster size and selling them at H.I.

Khuk posters. I wouldn't mind having one with a bunch of the Khuks in color. Sure would be an eye catcher and a conversation piece. Good one Matt.

Khuk wallpaper! Make it in 100% scale so you can simply mount your Ks, right over the image. Uncle Bill will award a special merit badge to anyone who actually completes the HI Wall of Khuks.

You would even get honorable mention on the HI web page as HI's Khuk of the Month. :D

btice & raghorn - you guys crack me up...:p

Josh, Skeletor, Yvsa, Ripper, JUSTRIGHT, SamuraiDave, Ferrous, matt, & Don Rac - Thanks! Glad you liked it. I did this for guys like you all who appreciate khuks at a level beneath the Magic Mirror Finish.

Bill - I was wondering how long it would take until "Holy Toledo" showed up on the thread...:D

Berkeley, Howard and beoram - sounds like a good idea. Give me a week or two to build up the energy and I'll write it up in HTML and send it your way.

matt, Pappy and N2S - a poster would be a cool idea. Bill could sell them for an extra $5 with an order. For me, though, that would be quite an undertaking. Perhaps stephensee would be interested...?

There really is much more that can be inferred from this analysis. The only thing missing is an account for the thickness and weight of materials. Perhaps at a later date, I'll work it in. For now, there ought to be enough to keep us all busy for a while...

Can this be made into a spreadsheet?
