I disagree totally with the idea that if you have seen one Lake knife, you have seen them all. Though he tends to make only a few patterns, the work he does to them, and the materials he uses, makes each a unique piece. I love his knives.

Actually Keith, as you probably know, Ron also made a very limited number
of totally new designs. In one of them, the "Cimmaron", he created
two pre-patented prototype piston activated button-locking folders that
led to the commercial run of Ron Lake's new design of folders produced by CRKT.
These prototypes (shown below) were completely hand made by Ron in 2003,
and have two different opening mechanisms. Overall lengths 6 11/16" (169 mm).

I am so inspired by Ron's designs, they are really magical, I know it sounds cheesy, but they are great, thanks so much for sharing.
