An experiment....one knife, one year....

I wish I could say I've carried a knife for more than a year.

I've actually been carrying my Classic Sebenza Micarta Large for a week straight which is a record! I'll give 1 year a try with her!

I could do this with a multitool but a standalone knife probably not, at least not yet as I'm still trying out different makers.

I'm too much of a knife nut to do it. I got a PM 1, and its in my pocket right now, as I type this, but I go through to many knives a year to limit myself to just one.

If I was going to consider it, the PM would be in the top 3 no doubt about it.

Mine has been lost twice, once in a brush pile, second at the river I spend my summers at. Both times, there was no way of finding it, none, I tried, it took others to bring back my baby.

Still got her, and she's not gonna leave me, that's proven.

Carried SRM763 more than 1 yr too. Other knives come along, this one is a constant. The only exception is when I was taking a flight and spent few days off my base.

Resharpened many times, fixed the chipped tip (dropped onto ceramic tiles) three times. Still the best slicer & my daily shaving knife.

wouldn't be too hard for me. it's been pretty much my CPM M4 Spyderco Military since I got it. Sure, I'll throw something else in my pocket from time to time, and I did a month of traditional carry only, but It wouldn't be too much of a stretch. Only thing I would have to switch up is when I go running/biking, gotta be my Spyderco Native then.

I have two classes of knives.

Knives I carry, and knives I don't.

My EDC blades get carried every day until they get lost or too damaged to be serviceable.

Currently, my RAT-3 has about 1 year on it, and my Benchmade griptillian has close to 2.

Rat-1 has about 4 months.

Kershaw scamp. July 2011 till August 2012 when I started preferring my BK14. Stood the test of time the Kershaw did....

Ill be playing along with this tomorrow when i get my 0550 (the things that i had to do for this were unspeakable !) But thatll be my one knife for a year knife.

That's like Kershaw's flagship knife these days eh? the 0550.
Quite sure it will take care of you just fine.

I like it cause its a affordable ti frame lock made by hinderer (a real hinderer is untouchable for someone like me). And KAI has a great warranty.
