As some may know from my last post.. which seems like ages ago... I had a big move to a new house and shop. And I can't believe how time consuming it's been! But I've recently finished these two... a little herb chopper from W2, distressed copper and stabilized redwood burl from Mr. Farley at Itsaburl.

And also this 10" over all Aldo 1075 integral... which feels surprisingly correct in the hand. A fun knife to make....

Well I'm finally back in the swing of things (I've actually completed two smelts!) and hope to be showing a wrought iron/1095 pattern welded Irish Celtic blade soon....

Good to see ya back at it Scott, congrats on the new shop!

Man, I REALLY dig that blacksmith knife. It's slightly larger than most I have seen of this kind and would no doubt make a very handy companion for all sorts of tasks. Love the wrap-around rat tail.

Thanks guys....

I already have an herb chopper for my own kitchen which is BY FAR the most used implement I own. And Roger.. I agree... this is now on my list of things to make for myself. With it's flat profile and lightweight... it would make an excellent tool for my canoe pack.
