An INFI Hognose War Sword? . . . . This Will Be Your ONLY Chance EVER, To Score This Beast!

So I've seen the BGHNWS weighed at 41 .5 oz, what do you think the INFI version will be? From 1/4 to 3/16 will shave what, maybe 6 or 7 oz? 🤔🍺🍺
3/16 is .75 of .25…somebody else will have to take it from there…

Of course, the density of INFI and SR101 would have to be the same (I guess)…ha!

Anybody got a good answer?!?

Also…that HGWS looks cool and sub .2 on bigger stuff from Busse is “usually always” pretty magical.

75% of 41.5oz is 31oz,

In my experience, coating on blades gives it an extra oz, so.. with this size blade I predict somewhere around ~30oz… maybe an ounce less.

But who knows. It’ll balance much better in my opinion which to me is more valuable than weight.

The original is one of my favorite blades, it lives in the front compartment of my ATV and has cleared many many many smaller trees on trails and eats decent sized pine trees for breakfast. I beat it into the ground to clear out the stumps and minor cosmetic damage only. If you are thinking twice, pull the trigger.

Sounds like you have a good amount of experience with it. Looks to me like it may be possible to get two hands on the handle by putting a finger into the choil to get a forward grip with one hand and with the other hand somewhat overlapped and wrapping around the rear part of the handle, locked in by the flare at the butt. Is that possible or is the handle just not big enough? Thx

You could get two hands on it (maybe closer to a hand and a half (partial overlap grip)...I really only use it one handed so you can position your feet and get a really heavy swing to utilize the weight of the blade in the front and get the right contact hit. It does take some getting used to but it is a great blade. It is a limbing machine and if I am out walking paths, it has enough heft to get through most limbs at ground level with a single swing. It batons well but I would recommend a maul or mounted splitter/hammer for those tasks. It is a tool with a great place in the arsenal. It is a terrible whittling tool. :)

I think the handles are a few oz., so the 75% would have to be off just the blade. My guess is that this will come in around 34 oz. :D

Found these pics of the Ohio snake that served as the inspiration for the Hognose War Sword!

It's not poisonous, but can, reportedly, chew through a tree in no time at all!!!

Let's Drink!

Note the similar shape of the tip to the profile of the snake! . . .

Here it is below, in a defensive pose!. . . . No wonder I thought it looked like a cobra!!!

I’ve been soooooo good about staying away. But you reeled me in with the email. Usually when I get one from you guys I delete it without opening knowing how weak I am. Last time you reeled me in was with the Triceratops. Coincidentally thst is my favorite dinosaur go figure lol.

This time I was like lemmie see what it is. Bam. Sword. I’m hooked damn you.

All this being said imma go stonewashed but trying to imagine the different handle options. I usually just get some flavor of canvas but with this being a sword maybe I’ll splurge.

Can any of you kind Hogs/Hogettes post up some pics of the original offering if you had G10 handles?
