I am known here on Blade Forums as the guy who makes the inexpensive usable knives. My philosophy is to make an excellent tool with a minimum of time and materials cost so the average guy can affford a hand made knife. However, I spent a lot of time on this one because I wanted to test my forging and finishing abilities to see if I could make a knife that would appeal to the collector because of it's design, workmanship and beauty.

Forged from 3/4 inch 52100 round bar stock
Heat treated to Rc 59
Flat grind with a mat finish
Cocobolo handle
Overall length: 12 1/4 inches
Sharpened part of the blade:6 1/4 inches
Leather scabbard

Please excuse the leather dye on my hands, I have not washed the dishes yet today.

Gerry,
Very, very nice! It definitely appeals to me. Beautiful, simple, clean and elegant. Keep em coming. In my opinion your "first" foray into this area was extremely successful.

Sincerely,

Russ

Very nice knife and congrats on the skills and workmanship, shows you can do that too.

Very well executed...good stuff. With the length to height ratio does the working end of the blade show any flexibility? You don't mention the blade thickness so I'm curious.

Again, an excellent, classic design. No way this lasts long...

Wow, what a seriously beautiful knife. I believe you have an out of the park home run on your hands!

I've long been an admirer of your labors. This is the best I've seen from you, yet. ;)
One of these days, I'll be fortunate enough (or quick enough) to snag one of your light hunters.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
Mako20ft; no flex in the tip on this one which is about 3/16 inch thick at the spine near the choil with a distal taper to the tip.
